Thank you for this wonderful podcast! My 5 year old son has autism and I found myself nodding my head in agreement with MANY of the feelings you shared. Our story started very similarly to yours….even the hoping that my son had hearing loss 🙂 I too go back and forth with the feelings of acceptance and worry or wanting him to be closer to typical (he falls on the more moderate side of asd). Thanks for your honesty, I look forward to your next episode:)
Thank you, Keri. That means a lot to us.
Back when our diagnosis was fresh and my heart was raw, I unknowingly sought solace on an Autism Moms page. I was raked over the coals and told I didn’t love my own child because I was grieving the loss of “normal”. I now do my best to extend grace and kindness to those going through early diagnosis. Two camps, indeed. Thank you for this podcast.
Good job Mr. & Mrs. Bacon! You both were excellent. Thank you for making this podcast.
Thank you Mr and Mrs Bacon for this awesome podcast. Been following you for over a year now and I have to tell you: I was so exited when you included the whole family!!! Mrs. Bacon I felt like you and I were the same person on this podcast. Keep it coming guys you rock.
Thank you so much, Kenia!
Thanks, Carol!
Thank you very much, Bonny.

My son, Erik, was just diagnosed 9 months ago. I too hoped for a hearing loss. So much of what you were feeling is how I am feeling now. Great to know I am not alone. Thank you for sharing!
