“12 Things My Son Has Taught Me”
1) Things I thought were important before I had him — really aren’t.
2) After even the hardest day, watching him sleep melts my heart.
3) There isn’t any better feeling than when he spontaneously reaches to hold my hand.
4) There isn’t any worse feeling than when he is hurting and cannot tell me why.
5) If he doesn’t care what people think of him, I shouldn’t worry he is being judged.
6) Even when you think he isn’t listening – – he is.
7) I don’t need a navigation system if he is in the car.
8) It really doesn’t matter the temperature of the water, if you are at the beach – you go in!
9) Using utensils to eat isn’t really necessary.
10) Sleep is over-rated; I feel bad for the people who never get to witness a sunrise.
11) The only limits he has are the ones we put on him.
12) When I least suspect it, he will surprise me.
