Rigged

-Discipline your child– you’re a bully.
-Let him cry– you’re disconnected and insensitive.
-Comfort him– you’re spoiling him.
-Negotiate with him– you’re giving in.
-Stay home– you’re not trying.
-Bring them out– you’re disrupting others’ good time.
-Ask for concessions– you’re milking the disability for special treatment.
-Ask for help– you’re weak.
-Do it yourself– you’re trying to be a martyr.
-Call out insensitivity– you’re on your high horse.
-Avoid confrontation– you’re not a strong advocate.

The game is rigged. All we have is each other. Keep your chin up.

I highly recommend refusing to play–and I even manage it for periods of time. Because you are correct that it is rigged.
